AutoCool privacy notice

Prototype notice: This page is a deployment-ready placeholder, not final legal advice. The operator must add contact details and review it before any external testing.

On-device information

AutoCool evaluates phone location, a short-lived movement history, your Home exclusion area, and optional calendar timing on your iPhone. Raw routes and calendar titles, notes, attendees, and event identities are not uploaded.

Service information

The service stores the Tesla authorization needed to act for you, the selected vehicle, device notification registration, automation settings needed for safety checks, climate-lease state, and a limited command audit. Tesla credentials are encrypted and private command keys are held in managed secret storage.

Transient location

When the app proposes cooling, it sends a transient inferred parked-car coordinate so the service can compare it with the Tesla coordinate. Plaintext is not written to application logs, Firestore, task payloads, or command history. Lease-bound KMS ciphertext is temporarily stored in the Cloud Tasks start request and is removed with the task.

Retention and control

Command audit records are designed to expire after 30 days. Disconnecting Tesla prevents new commands; the operator must also provide a complete account-deletion path before external distribution.
